GSA Short Term Rental Services

Metro Professional Services is providing support to the General Services Administration Short Term Rental contract. We are providing technical and administrative customer support to the GSA Fleet Management – Fleet Services – Short Term Rental office located in Chicago, IL, by supplying vehicles and equipment to all federal agencies to fulfill short term and temporary needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We will operate a national technical and administrative customer support center that responds to telephone, e-mail, and other electronic communication requests (I.E. Google Hangouts or other electronic “Chat” platforms) for short term vehicle and equipment rental (STR) support and responds to queries for information about the STR program. The contractor shall respond to all support requests and program inquiries in a timely and professional manner (as defined in the QASP). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google email, and Google Drive is a must. Use of other equipment and/or software may be specified in each task assignment such as using new or the latest version of software applications and procedures, utilized by GSA and GSA-FAS during the term of this contract. The contractor shall enter, store, retrieve, and interface as needed with government specific systems which may include, but are not limited to STR, WebSTR, Fleet Management System (FMS), Federal Procurement Data System- Next Generation, and Government Data Query Systems. The contractor support staff shall create reports, using government databases, and shall notify a supervisor of any issues.

EDUCATION:

While no education requirements are listed, it is generally agreed that at least a bachelor's degree is highly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Proficient in the use of word processing software used on personal computers or similar equipment, such as Microsoft Word, and also be familiar with the Windows operating system. Contractor support must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Access, Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Email and Google Drive.

Working technical knowledge of vehicles, equipment and invoicing metrics. Technical knowledge includes familiarity with industry terminology and offerings as well as vehicle/equipment specifications and capabilities.

Good interpersonal relationship skills, be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and have a basic familiarity with general office procedures.
